I'm looking into this aswell. Think I might just get a Sim over there. You'd think THREE would set something up considering they sponsor the team and all. It would be a good PR stunt. All THREE customers get free or very cheap 4G in France for the euros.

Yeah, agreed, I'm with Three as well and was hoping the same but I'd say they would have advertised it at this stage and I guess they wont cause we wont actually be on their network (I think) so they wont want to take a hit.

Must look into the French SIM option, see if its worth it.

Chances are, you'll be in the pub for most other matches.

Accommodation will have wifi.

Pubs will have wifi.

If you can't go without internet for the rest of the time (quite limited), you've got an issue.

Stadiums generally have it too, along with McDonald's or Starbucks.

Agree with your last point, sure why do you need internet when youre away having the craic, being uncontactable is one of the perks of being away.

One of the favours I offered in exchange for being allowed to carry holidays and take the full month off was bringing my work laptop. Shame France hasn't introduced the internet though. Was looking forward to logging in and doing some unpaid work.

I agree but we need the highlights on Twitter/FB and the usual sh*te. If I'm there, I'll be checking the culture and pussy out.

Everyone is different I guess.

I couldn't care less about wifi in pubs, will be having the craic then!

Its mainly for when traveling and accommodation as some of the places we booked wont have wifi and others are likely to be crap from past experience of cheap accommodation.

If you're looking to get a French sim card for the duration of your stay in France, this might be an option:-

This.....
Sure it's free on the tubes and in most restaurants/ coffee shops. There will be enough hotspots to allow you to check in with the www for free.

The only permissible exception is if you are a single guy and on Ze tinder with the local ladies. Usual YBIG rules apply re pics

I have used this before on holidays in france in my dual sim smartphone for internet access when not on free wifi, i can recommend.
€19 for a data sim with 1gb is good value, €15 for a 1gb topup.
Just pick up an unlocked second hand mifi device here and pop the data sim in.

Seems to offer wifi from 6-9euro a day or 63-99euro in total for 30 days.

Has anyone any experience of this service or any alternative? Just curious on what coverage, reliability etc is like..

Were going to be driving across France thinking it could be a good purchase, save on the inevitable ridiculous data charges LOL Could also be a good option for the campers.

That looks great. Cheers. I'm headed from the States so this will be a big big help...
