Hi,

Why not get the Man United fans to stop singing about

Hillsborough
Heysel
Arsene Wenger

Forever.

That would do far more for uniting Football than a minutes silence

Take Care

GG, the English football fan mentality will never change, they're all as bad as each other and the fact that they couldn't observe a minutes silence at Wembley for their own English players (apart from our own Liam Whelan) who perished at Munich tells you all you need to know about them. They're tramps and I despise them.
We'll never die, we'll never die, we'll keep the Green Flag flying high......Shamrock Rovers will never die, we'll keep the Green Flag Flying high. 19 Leagues and 25 Cups.....

Am i right in saying that the minute silence at yesterdays game in Dublin wasnt too well observed either? I had to make do with watching it on sky and thought i heard a fair bit of noise...

it was not that bad, cut short alright, but cant blame the brazilians for stil making a noise during it considering the fai had not the intelligence to get a potugese announcer to say what was happening

Fair enough tirchonaill. Good point about the FAI not putting out announcements in foreign languages, we'd be f**ked in places like Georgia if they dont make announcements in English.

How about  we get Arsenal, Liverpool, Man City fans etc.. to stop singing songs about Munich seeing as how they aren't so innocent either.

Bill O'Herlihy: Ah ye can't be saying that now Eamonn

Not True Jim. Arsenal fans as far as i'm aware have NEVER sung songs about Munich so (certainly not in the 30 plus years i'm supporting them) I can't figure how you can say that.

Also, IIRC, its Manchester United who hope to have respectful silences this weekend - and rightly so as well - but it's their fans who sing the above songs.

We can discuss the other songs on another forum and what is not acceptable (e.g Arsenal fans sl*gging off the Current Tottenham managers mother - i find that extremely distasteful)

What i'm saying Jim is - it's a bit rich to ask people to remember respectfully the awful tragedy of Munich, whilst many of the same people are more than happy to disrespect the awful tragedies of Hillsborough and Heysel by singing about them. Or personal things of no truth at all.

Think about it.

Have a good, respectful, weekend.
