Saved 2 penalties in the shootout and kept another clean sheet to put Bury through to the 4th round. They play Hull next.

Is he an outside to go to France as 3rd choice? Our keepers are all getting on and the experience would do him no harm at all. Expecting him to be involved in the squad post Euros if he continues getting 1st team football.

I doubt if he'll even be considered for the Euros barring a few injuries but good to see him getting experience in the lower leagues and seems to be doing well with Bury which bodes well as he's the future between the sticks for us

Id imagine he's way down the list ...behind Randolph, Eliot, Westwood, Given, Forde and Henderson.

Less than zero chance of going to the Euros at this moment in time

Really?

Randolph - Yes, will be our no 1 despite not playing much club football at all.
Elliot - Favoured staying with Newcastle over travelling to be on the bench in the play off which didn't go down well with management, having a good run with Newcastle which will work in his favour but will be out as soon as Krul is fit.
Westwood - Should go, if fit, and if the management are sure of his commitment to the cause which they really aren't. Told he's pissed off after losing his place to Forde in the WC campaign.
Forde - reserve at Millwall. Done well in his games for us but think he's seriously under pressure to make the squad for the summer.
Given - not playing at all. Think he may well go cos of his experience/presence around the camp but that's probably the only reason.
Henderson - Charlton struggling badly, agreed he's probably ahead of Lawlor in the pecking order but he's been around the camp and on the radar since the Czech friendly before Euro 2012 and hasn't done enough to be consistently involved.

Would say Lawlor definitely has an outside chance. If O'Neil stays he knows there's a serious rebuilding job to do post Euros and bringing Lawlor in as 3rd choice, similar to how Butland was brought along to Euro 2012 with England, would make sense to me.

Would be shocked if he made it tbh. Safe to say that O'Neill will be bringing the tried & trusted.

So a player who has played once for Bury is now in contention to travel to France

It's a sad state of affairs is our goalkeeping situation!

It's not really that bad. We have Elliot starting in the Premiership, Bunn is too and is available if we ever want him. As well as them two we have Randolph, Westwood and Henderson who are all very competent. Lawlor has great potential too. We might not have a world class goalie anymore but the situation certainly isn't too bad..

3 clean sheets for Bury in 4 games plus saved a few penos last week in the fa cup. Future Ireland no 1 imo

Jaysus, neither of those will be close to ever being Irish number 1 IMO. The Premier League goggles are on there. Elliot is nearly 30, happy to be a number 2 and widely known as 'pea heart' at Newcastle - because everytime he gets a chance he then gets injured or ill - see when Karl Darlow took his place the other week.

Mark Bunn will never play for Ireland.
