I was reading in the Herald where Stephen Hunt was quoted as not being happy about Lapira getting capped, it was more a dirty rub that his brother Noel was overlooked, with Noel having been a pro now for a few years.  Hunty has a point, I still maintain Lapira only got called up to get  Yanks to attend those matches, it didn't work and I'd be amazed if Lapira ever gets called up again.  Wonder will the Gaffer give out to Hunty.......

hunt comes across great when he's on the telly as does doyle, also on the park he looks like he has massive pride in the jersey and is playing his way onto our first 11 , as for his thoughts on lapira , shut the fcuk up stan picks the team.

Think you're being a bit harsh at the end there Roger, the selection of Lapira was ridiculous when you look at the established pros left behind in Ireland/UK or wherever else, but we've all had our opinion on that previously.  We give out about fellas not having pride in the shirt, so far Hunty's shown that in bucketloads, long may it continue.

i just think you cant be questioning the manager FW and certainly not to the press , stan should deffo give him a dressing down and i wouldnt have a word against hunt as a footballer , really enjoying watching him in green.

also i dont reckon he would have spoken out had big jack been the manager. i seem to recall he asked johnny glynn so join the squad for training in america one time. he didnt cap him but it would have been his right to do so as manager.

Everyone was afraid of their sh*te with Jack.  Fair points Roger, I'm still a long way off being a Stan fan I think that's my problem. Jeez Johnny Glynn, there's a name from the distant past.  I remember he joined Rovers at the tail end of the 4 in a Row days, hoping to put himself in the shop window.  He was absolute pants in his mercifully short Hoops career.

he was quality at united though FW , ended up in UL same time i was there , think he was doing sports science. no idea what he does now.Stan is only starting to win me over FW. I have forgiven him San Marino but Cyprus might take a while to heal yet though!! Have to back him though until the end of the campaign , then we can take stock.
