Hey Guys,

Just let everyone know my old club Home Farm Fc are going to be on tv for next couple of weeks. Setanta Ireland are doing a series about us and following the U15 team as they try to win the league and sees how young irish players are monitored from clubs abroad :) Starts tonight

they have called it "premier Ambitions" as it looks at how players are scouted at such a young age should be a good watch :)

Apparently its horrendous and a sad indictment of the state of schoolboy football in Ireland.

Only in Ireland !

In most other countries, this would be a Panorama style expose.

Looks pretty decent. Seen a few clips. Entertaining enough.
Seems like its going to divide opinion though!

Interesting to see how this is portrayed. I was at Home Farm in the age group ahead of Owen Garvan, Darren O'Dea, Shane Supple etc and felt at times we were shunned a bit because we didn't get the players over to England that the team below us did.

Still a great club though and some fantastic people at it.

Not much in 1st episode but can see where it's going
Anyone think the pre season (running on sand dunes etc) was OTT for 14year olds?

Mostly for show that was I'd imagine. I've never known any Home Farm side to train on the beach and would definitely be OTT for that age group.
