He'd have made a difference last night for the U21s is the point!

Would he have stopped Healy dragging a player down needlessly? Would he have stopped Crawford replacing our best striker, and his replacement missing a great chance? Absolute horsesh*te, the U-21's lost because of stupid management decisions and defensive mistakes, nothing more.

Might as well just pick any 11 players in any game so, if taking the best player off the team makes no difference.

We all know Crawford is inept, but that doesn't change the fact that Moran was a massive loss to that team.

Yep, and - ignoring the fact that this was a dead-rubber game - he should never have been called into this squad until he was going to play some part tonight.

worst squad possibly ever and worst group possibly ever though

The squad that lost 5-1 to Denmark is worse than the current squad on paper, I’ll argue that to death.

See you at yours.

From the FAI, here’s the XI:

Republic of Ireland: Darren Randolph, Cyrus Christie, Ciaran Clark (Shane Long 71), Daryl Murphy, Robbie Brady, James McClean, Jeff Hendrick, Stephen Ward, David Meyler (Wes Hoolahan 46), Shane Duffy, Harry Arter (Aiden McGeady 46)

Very few of those players get into the current team on paper.

I'd say every squad we had in 2018, 2019, 2020 and 2021 was worse than what we have now.

2 things

- Ryan Manning is awful - probably the worst player I’ve seen for Ireland
- That bell ringer is a pain in the hole , I’d love if someone took this f**king thing off him. It’s bad enough watching that sh*te without having to listen to that w**ker with the bell
Here we go again, we're on the road again

It is most definitely a Christmas film!

Listened to a podcast with one of the screenwriters. He has a complete rehearsed spiel as to why exactly it most definitely IS a Christmas movie.

How is this even an argument?

Fookin film ends with them being showered in metaphorical "snow" while "let it snow" kicks in over the sound track

He'd have made a difference last night fotr the U21s is the point!

By that logic then Ferguson should play for the u21s.

A howler from collins last night, but it is just sicking how open we are and the amount of mistakes we make is terrible. At the very least, if we can't create anything in the final third, a team should be hard to break down and make as little mistakes as possible. Let you be beaten by a moment of brilliance or something.

Die Hard is 100% a Christmas movie and that performance was sh*te last night (Ireland not Bruce)

Going 2 up top albeit for only a few minutes was actually laughable

Did Moran play last night? I know Ferguson barely got a kick but he was on the pitch plus he's already established himself in the irish team. Omobamidele wasnt yet again and there was the late Parrott sub in the 90th minute.

'E's not pinin'! 'E's passed on! This parrot is no more! He has ceased to be! 'E's expired and gone to meet 'is maker! 'E's a stiff! Bereft of life, 'e rests in peace! If you hadn't nailed 'im to the perch 'e'd be pushing up the daisies! 'Is metabolic processes are now 'istory! 'E's off the twig! 'E's kicked the bucket, 'e's shuffled off 'is mortal coil, run down the curtain and joined the bleedin' choir invisible!! THIS IS AN EX-PARROT!!

My mate from Offaly based in Amsterdam was at the game in The Dutch Section.

He said Dutch Fans behind him were laughing at the ineptitude of some of players especially with them having difficulties crossing a ball!

I think it's a tad unfair and we come from totally different football cultures, but!
