19 years ago today lads, Ray Houghton headed past Shilton in Stuttgart, God almighty what a day to be Irish and to be there.  Remember it like it were only a couple of years ago.  Thanks Razor, legend forever.  We should mark it properly next year for the 20th.

19 years ago, all i remember is me, a young brat of 9, going out on the road with my own ball cause i couldn't bear to watch the last 20 mins. Even back then I was a weirdo.
Count, can you stick a Ray Houghton Way photo up????

Tear to the eye stuff. Would have given anything to be there but like the count, i was only a nipper. Those type of occassions are why the Green Army spend so much money following the team around the world....longing for those moments - they'll be back one day lads!!

You're right Monster, that day was payback for all the away disappointments the Green Army suffered in the Giles and Hand eras, when bent refs fckn robbed us in Sofia, Paris and Brussels, when we couldn't fckn buy a bit of luck to save our lives.  It was payback time for all the great Irish players who didn't play in a Finals and it's a day I will always treasure as being my most memorable day following the team.  Amazing to think it's 19 years alright, some of the present squad weren't even born!
