http://www.irishtimes.com/business/commercial-property/phibsboro-shopping-centre-for-15m-1.2407351

"The 1.15 hectare (2.85 acres) with Town Centre zoning includes a site at the rear which was formerly used as a terrace in Bohemian’s soccer grounds and was acquired some years ago by Albion. Meanwhile, Dublin City Council plans to redevelop the balance of Dalymount Park as a state-of-the-art stadium with seating for 10,000 spectators."

I haven't been to Dalymount Park, but my understanding of that is the new "10,000 seater" will only ever be a 3 sided ground and one side will be the back of a tesco.

We love a three sided stadium in Ireland. To be fair we knew this was likely with the terrace been sold years ago.

Pitch is being switched around to an North South axis from the current East/West AFAIK. They're hardly going not going to have a stand along one of the sidelines

It's the tramway end where they put all the flags that the centre owns AFAIK, wouldn't look too bad in my opinion be a bit like Braga ha. Plenty of blank space for all their murals they love doing Clap

but would that not mean the thsco will ne be on the same side as the sideline if they rotate the pitch?

or with the pitch rotated have they now room to build a stand on all sides?

I'm assuming the latter that with the rotation of the pitch there'll be room to have the stand could be wrong mind

I'm not sure there that much room, it's fairly tight as is. Looking forward to seeing the plans anyway.

This is old news no? Bohs sold that end and a few yards of pitch over a drunken lunch.

However if they are turning the pitch that presumably means the Jodi gets bulldozed, so Bohs off to Tolka again? Homeless b*stards.

Could do something similar to these plans for the Carlise, Personally I would just build decent stands around the Jodi and play in the back of the Shopping Centre but this is an alternative.

What are Bray planning there? A 30,000 seater? Those 3 stands look like they have 2 tiers? I've always though Bray had good potential but that's very ambitious!

As for Bohs why don't they just sell off Dalymount and build a nice new mordern 7-8k seater ground somewhere from scratch? Should be achievable with the council on board. This just seems like throwing good money after bad on a very small site.

I've heard the car park has been sold as well! It's making less and less sense to build there.

Turning the pitch around would be a waste. The Jodi stand is perfect for this league.
