A very bizarre set of quotes from him about green and black tracksuits.

Gus would love The EIRE.  The craic we'd have.

Hope the opposition dressing room doesn't get smeared in faeces. As happened when Brighton played Crystal Palace in a play off match.

Not sure if there's a thread for next manager discussion but I would be delighted with poyet, he would be a brilliant appointment imo. The interest he's showing in us is great, I thought we'd be going out begging for a new manager.

I don't want carsely, he hasn't done it in senior management yet so he would be a very risky appointment. It hasn't worked out with Kenny obviously and he would be a very similar appointment
Here we go again

There is absolutely nothing similar between Carsley and Kenny. And Poyet, in terms of his public persona is a a bit of a fool. Maybe he is a good coach, I don't know. He was not great at Sunderland.

I'm not so sure he would be a great replacement. His competitive wins have come against teams all well lower ranked: Cyprus(103), Kosovo(109), The North, Gibraltar and us twice. He has also drew friendlies with Malta & Lithuania, been beaten by Montenegro and in NL games by Cyprus.

He may be a better coach than Kenny, but you can be guaranteed if he had these results with us, there would be quite a few on here calling for his sacking. Wink

Be careful what you wish for........

In the words of the great Eamonn Dunphy,

"WHY WE GOING FOR HIM, WHERE'S HIS RECORD?!"
"Here's Robbie Keane...... yeeeessss! That is no more than Ireland deserve!"

His time at Sunderland was horrendous, he ended up just falling out with everyone. I suspect he knows Greece aren't offering him a new contract and he's looking for what he sees as a handy pay day.
We're decent enough..
