I wish the lad well. Hopefully he can show what he's made of.
What I'm not looking forward to is the crying on where when him and horgan are not in the squad if they're not getting games

Went over to the east stand on his own after the game, so Id say its his last game in Tallaght anyway. Probably be gone after Limerick next week.

Really hope he can replicate what Maguire has done but don't think he has that little bit extra.......

He came over to the East Stand at the end to take a couple of pictures with younger fans who called him over but he didn't seem to be waving goodbye or anything like that. Hopefully we can keep him for a while, he could be the difference between us going through a round in Europe or not. If PNE do come in for him soon then fingers crossed we can have him at least for the European games like Maguire with Cork last year...

Fairly atrocious move from an Ireland point of view, we have way too many attackers competing for the same positions at Preston. More than that, I'm not convinced Burke will be able to displace the ones that are there.

I think Burke could do well at PNE, and could be a good foil for Maguire. It also puts him in direct competition with Maguire, which means that he will have to up his game too, to ensure he is not overtaken.

unfortunately agree on the first point, willing to give him the benefit of the doubt on the second but tend to agree on that as well..

I actually think pne is the wrong club for Burke, can't see how he fits into the way they play.

Letting down the LOI faithful here but best of luck to him, Saw him for Villa a few times, always looked to have the talent, never looked like he had the head

I've said the same and don't think he's as good as Maguire or Horgan whose struggled a bit at Preston.

I can't see where he fits in for Preston, and consequently why they've signed him. He doesn't have the pace to play on the wings for them (their current wingers - Barkhuizen, Horgan, Robinson, and Bodin - are all very quick). He doesn't have the athleticism to play Browne/Johnson's role as the advanced midfielder; and he's not as good a striker as Maguire is. Unless they're going to radically alter their style of play, he could find himself on the bench more often than not...
