Hello guys,
Just 50 kilometers from Poznan there is the first Polish capital - beautiful Gniezno with its famous cathedral from approximately 1170, beautiful gothic churches, very interesting The Museum of Beginnings of The Polish State and old town. It's really worth to see. We offer one day trip from Poznan 12th and 17th June for €19 per person! More information about Gniezno, our trip and what you can see there you can find clicking here Welcome to Poznan:) Edited by Aliena Tours - 16 May 2012 at 12:49pm |

Thanks Aliena Tours. I think a lot of fans have identified Gniezno as a place to visit. We're staying there on the 18th June

13 of us staying at Hotel Nest in Gniezno from 9-12 & 17-19. Prefer to be in Poznan but it's much cheaper and only 35 mins by train. It's also on main train line to Gdansk.

Toruń wins hands down!! Gniezno is a nice place to visit but there's not much to do for 2 weeks or even a couple of days. If you do go there are some lovely old buildings in the surrounding area (the oldest in Poland)...and there is the Biskupin ancient fort (accessible by narrow-gauge railway). It's also doable as a daytrip from Toruń. |
