Crap game, bad performance again. Disappointed with the atmosphere in croker park aswell.  Though mcshane was quality but midfiled and up front werent up to much.  Duff had a few flashes of magic and Hunt the same when he came on.  Take the win but I though Wales were exceptionally poor and that SLovakia will be a lot harder to gfet a result against on Wednesday

From the BBC 606 website. Not a bad read.

An interesting point is raised by someone on there. The Irish rugby team won the Triple Crown but knew they played crap and didn't really celebrate because they know their performance just wasn't good enough.

The Irish soccer team scrape past the mighty giants of San Marino and Wales with absolutely woeful performances and their jumping around with joy and congratulating themselves!

Why should i give a flying fcuk about supporting ireland when the players who have the privilige and "talent" to play clearly dont give a fcuk either.

agreed, the players have stopped caring so why should we go and spend our money watching overpaid muppets who dont care about the jersey.

I disagree, I dont think they dont care, I  think that most of them are just sh*te and this is the reason.  In fairness I think having a cr*p manager with no personality, communication skills or managerial experience doesnt help either (liked the chap as a  player though).  I still go and watch the team because of players like Given who is a absolute legend on the pitch who gives it everything

I can agree with that for some of the players. Look at McShane, hes just an anverage old fashion hoofer, wallop, smack the ball out of the park defender and he was man of the mtch on Saturday.  He was throwing the feet and head into everything so if he can do it as an average player why cant better players put it in and stop making teams like Wales and San Marino look like a bunch of maradonas

For such a historic match, the atmosphere just plummeted after 10 seconds, one cant really blame the fans as it was just rubbish football. How can O'Shea stay in the team he got the ball and hooffed it back to the Welsh defence a huindred times. Kilbane labouring away as ever, why do these managers keep picking him. McGeady is a regular for Celtic nad got good Champions league expeirience..what does he get 2minutes of football...

Stantaun has to go regardless of whether we beat Slovakia as he has presided over 6 of our worst performances ever.

I'll still cheer on the team regardless, hoping we lose is a real Dunphy attitude El Staturio but I can understand your frustration, I think Slovakia will beat us anyway.
