Anybody thinking of going along to this game against slovakia on tuesday?????, Im going to check it out and support the cause,I like the fact that its an all eircom league line up,great to see the lads getting to pull on the national shirt, should be plenty of passion flowing in them.

Ah come on Billy thats not the attitude!
I'd say it would be a good game ernesto, with plenty of passion like you say. The games against England and NI will be the ones to look forward to.
15 euro for a ticket is steep enough though, i'd say that might put off a few people, its only £5 into the B game next week.

Stiofain, great point about ticket prices, games in this country are a rip off, they dont see the big picture....if they were to charge less they would get a much bigger attendence, fai muppets spend to much time counting the penneys while the pounds fly over there heads.

Why didn't they schedule it for Wednesday?  Most Junior teams will have training on Tuesday.  There's no big live TV ball this week, Wed shoulda been the date for a better crowd and yizzer are right about the ticket prices.  Moronic.

I was delighted to read about the Under 23 set up the other week, cracking idea, if only to put young talent on display to teams in Britain (ie Reading!). Would the FAI dare consider pushing this towards the Olympics, which is an under 23 tournament?!?

great shout Criostoir Og, it would be deadly to have an eircom league selection representing Ireland in a future olympics, would mean more away trips at least and that is always welcome.

All the more reason to get Poland to Dublin to play a friendly international. I geniunely think they would be good opposition from a footballing point of view and it would surely benefit us more than have Brazil come over and go through the motions.

according to the Fai website, the latest is still 2-0 ireland -  its still half time (and has been for the last 45 minutes!). I love the FAI website, if you need a result, you can check there 4 days after the game has ended.
