McCarthy sacked after poor start to Euro 04 qualifying - lost to Russia and Switzerland (both decent enough teams)
Kerr sacked after failing to qualify for wc 06. lost only one game throughout the game at home to france. although had poor results home and away against israel.
Staunton stays on after losing to Cyprus, Germany, Czech Republic, poor draws against Cyprus at home, and slovakia away. Also awful friendly result against holland.

Think you're right Ger. O'Donoghue asked Delaney will Stan be in charge on Nov 17? He didn't say yes, he just said the board will be asked what they wanna do in the next couple of days and go from there. Delaney also tried to worm his way out of saying he employed him though, fckn bo*locks, blaming the 3 man panel and the 10 man executive, blah de fckn blah. Right that's enough Stan for a couple of hours, better get to training or me own players will boo me.

Didnt see it but heard a bit on the radio. i got the impression that stan will be gone in the coming days. however i was more interested in delaney shifting the blame; wank3r. my only worry is that these fai muppets sit down and decide that they'll keep stan on considering how cheap he is.....there will be murder if that's the outcome

Delaney just said in an interview he never chose 2 appoint stan.Hes trying 2 remove the blame Stans as good as gone but probly not untill after the wales game.

If Delaney is distancing himself from Stan then it is only a matter of time before the announcement is made. Just pay off his contract (made more than enough at the Germany match to cover that) and get somebody qualified in.
