Gave it a try in the weekend. I think you get a slightly better result boiling them for exactly 8 minutes in shell and then 2 minutes in cold water.

Found with the air fryer the shell was a bit harder to remove without pealing off some of the white and the colouring was a bit off as the white had darkened a bit. Taste and texture wise it was pretty similar.
