No but you'd expect the situation hasn't changed in regards to the paperwork not being completed yet.

Laughable squad and a disgrace Jake O'Brien isn't in the squad? What are some lads on about. It would've been nice to see one of those uncapped creative Midfielders in there but the squad is more or less as predicted. Hardly a laughable announcement.

Our top 3 scorers in this squad being Robinson, Duffy and Browne really does speak volumes of this current crop of players.

Yes, awful that the goals are spread across defence, midfield and attack.. much better to have all the eggs in one basket

Aye its fantastic that Shane Duffy, a lad on his last legs, is the 2nd highest goal scorer in our current squad. F**k all to do with having all the eggs in one basket.

Not even that theyre also 3 of the oldest members of the squad and 3 of the most capped.

Strong possibility Parrott and Ogbene will equal/over take Brownes tally in ~15 fewer caps and Ferguson the same in ~25 few caps.

Was curious about who our most creative players are so far this season so I crunched the numbers (using fbref).

The focus is on Key Passes [KP], for the most part it's League form only:

[Player]  |[90's] | [G]| [xG] | [A] |  [xA] |[KP] |[SCA]|
                |           |       |          |        |          |          |          |
Ronan       |   31.6 |   1  |  2.5  |    8   |  6.7   |  64   |  116  |
Azaz         |   11.7 |   3  |  1.8  |    3   |  3.5   |  35   |   68   |
Smallbone |   12.3 |   3  |  2.1  |    1   |  2.4   |  25   |   41   |

O'Dowda    |    4.0 |   0  |   0.6  |    1   |  1.5   |    4   |     8   |
Doherty      |    2.5 |   0  |   0.2  |    0   |  0.5   |    4   |     4   |
Keane         |    9.3 |   4  |   3.3  |    2   |  0.5   |    4   |     6   |

Noss           |    6.5 |   1  |   1.0  |    1  |  1.0    |    3  |     -   |
Emakhu      |    3.7 |   1  |   0.5  |    1   |  0.2   |    2   |   10  |
McNamara  |    6.1 |   0  |   0.1  |    0   |  0.1   |    1   |     8  |

[90's] = total games played
[KP] = Key Passes, a pass that directly leads to a shot
[SCA] = Shot Creating Actions, the 2 actions that directly lead to a shot - passes, tackles, set-pieces, fouls drawn, etc..

After late/slow starts for Moran, Robinson & Parrott they've all quickly climbed the table in the last few weeks.

Ebosele keeping pace with Ogbene is good to see.

Included Key & McAteer, they had bright starts before their injuries.

Are these stats weighted by quality of opposition?

Nope. I've lumped everything in together. Only looking at Premier League, Serie A, Championship, SPL/ECL, MLS.

fbref doesn't have the numbers for League 1, and it's too low a level anyway.

I've left out the Cup competitions though. You could tack on another 5 Key Passes for Moran from his Cup games vs Cardiff & Chelsea in the EFL Cup.

Azaz definitely the most impressive statistically. Hopefully gets a look in under the new manager

Ferguson, Ogbene, Smallbone and McGrath have been scanned and results back but Stephen Kenny not ruling any out of Netherlands on Sat - yet. “They’re all doubtful. We’ll lose some but not all.”

Judging by what he's said and journalists tweets I'd say Smallbone & Ogbene won't make it. Sounded like them 2 were the most doubtful. Smallbone hasn't travelled over yet.

Should be in anyway, but certainly he should be called in now with Smallbone & McGrath doubts.
