Who comes up with that 30 man list. I half expected to see myself in it somewhere. Everyone else seems to be in it. Silly having so many names. Never took much notice before. Was it always 30? My initial thought was why isnt Viktor Oshimen the front runner. Is Messi just gonna pick it up again cause hes Messi???? Ya ya won the WC bla bla

Rodri couldn’t be far away based on achievements in the past year
Arguable City’s most important player, won the treble and scored the winner in CL final

Couldn’t begrudge Messi it I suppose for the World Cup

Is anyone really that bothered who wins it

In my head it used to be a prestigious award more some years ago. Is it more a popularity contest now? As i said Oshimen scored 26 goals in Serie A and fired them to their 1st tiltle since Maradonna and i have barely seen him name mentioned in any of the articles i looked at.  Not mentioned about winning it anyway.

It's voted for by national managers , captain and representative of press association.

I think there was always a big list in terms of players voted for just wasn't necessarily published as widely before

Rodri was City’s best player I would definitely have him in the top 3 alongside Mbappe and Messi.
