Great stuff. Seems we'll still need to navigate 4 games and and 2 separate play off series to qualify for the World Cup. Mental

Vera is a great character. The way she turned to the camera at the end of her interview with TOD and thanked the Irish public for all their support was class.

manager is a spoofer imo. Makes some bizarre selections. Will be found out in the end

Not sure spoofer is the right word but she’s definitely very conservative. I guess nothing will change on that front in this campaign but I do think we could do more going forward

Something very likable about the whole set up from the manager down right through the team. Bar McCabe and O'Sullivan they're a team of solid pros/journey women and young players but you get the sense they love playing for Ireland and they give their all. It's great to see. We're a long way from being an elite nation in women's football, but nights like tonight are moving us in the right direction

Just in the door from it, thought the girls were poor enough in the first half but once we scored we defended well, kept a good shape and worked hard.
On a different note all credit to the fai thought Tallaght was set up perfectly for kids and families and with a 7pm kick off kids could be back home early.

a poor performance first half but it was a "cup final" type game n was never going to be pretty but as TOD said after we needed to grind out a win....n we did....
Lilly Agg made a huge difference,I reckon, depending on injuries,we will play a far better game come Tues and hopefully a few other results go our way n we avoid Round 1 of qualifiers....What an atmosphere there tonight...the joy that this team bring is something to behold especially to the kids....what a night.....

Apart from a few nervy moments at the start I thought they defended very well throughout. Great goal and they saw it out well. Finland barely got a sniff of goal in the second half.
