I would like to go to Florida for a week in a month or so.  I was looking up the US entry rules.  It says you need a negative covid test 24 hrs before departure.

With covid being so prevalent at the minute the chances of testing positive are 50/50.  If so do you just lose all your money you forked out for flights, hotels, car hire etc?

Exactly, they virtually all cover it now. Most airlines will let you change last minute too. Book the hotel on a virtual card on revolut and you've thay covered too.

Shouldn't be coming out at any loss.

Done a few antigen tests for travel, they rarely swab properly, I'd say the number of positive tests is pretty low.

Be very careful is what I'd say, every airline and travel insurance company will have different wording.

We've 2 weeks in Spain booked in May and I'm planning on going full-recluse for the week before it to make sure nothing fecks that up (realise I don't need any tests before that flight).

If I'd a American trip planned, I wouldn't be going near pubs, gyms etc for a week before it
