On the list of the games tonight the only side I'd be confident of the Eire beating would be Estonia.

I'm the gaffer whatever I say goes.

I like your optimism. Would we even beat them?

There's your answer. I don't think we would've obliterated them like Wales did tonight but under a MON/Trap/Mick, but we wouldn't have lost two home and away games feebly under them like we did with Kenny. Edited by irishmufc - 21 Mar 2024 at 9:41pm |

We played them during covid behind closed doors with a team consisting
of the likes of Hendrick, Hourihane, Maguire, Horgan and Curtis. It was also 4 years ago and they were a lot better then than they were tonight. They qualified automatically for Euro 2020 ahead of Greece that campaign. Still wouldnt back a Kenny team to have beaten them now given Greece turned us over just as easily but just saying they were a better team with a prime Pukki when he was Championship top scorer . Pity Ukraine went through, happy to see both Poland and Georgia qualified!

Delighted Poland and Ukraine qualified. Will be supporting both of those come the summer. Happy to see Georgia get a first ever qualification. They've been in the doldrums for years sad to see Ireland there now. Russia will be raging with those 3 making it.

I wonder when Macatacca is going to write his lengthy rant about Wales and Scotland's results?
|
|||
It would damage this forums' reputation

Wales would have provided some entertainment at the tournament. Poland are usually a tough watch.
