I know you're being facetious but for those who would question Mick Irishness - 

Been constantly involved with the ireland team since 1979 (so 42 years), has 57 senior  caps as a player, managed the team twice, when a club manager always brings in irish player everywhere he goes. Got us to our last world cup. 

But yes...he's an ireland legend.

We've lost out on Stephen Gerrard incarnate according to Are We A Country twitter!

I do think this lad has potential though. Be interesting to see how quickly after his transfer goes through he gets called up to their senior squad.

Don't really know much about the kid.

I'm sure his club will be happy with that move. Wouldn't be surprised if the big Dup man at rangers didn't have something to do with it.

Steven Gerrard incarnate signing for Forest Green Rovers, bottom of League 1. He'll be right at home in League 2 next season, playing in the same division as Ethan Galbraith, Sam McLelland and most of the other emerging NI talent.
