As bad as things are, Covid restrictions WILL end eventually and we will get back to some sense of normality one day.  Perhaps a long way away, but one day.

England winning Euro 2020 on the other hand, we will never hear the end of it. Ever.

Yeah I'm counting on the fit KDB, Hazard and Lukaku who've had their way with English defenders over the past few years, doing that at Wembley. Belgium have a old back line but England aren't really running in behind much at the moment. Martinez is a worry.

Agreed. I think the Italians are our best hope at this stage. The fact of the matter is that England just need to beat a pretty terrible Ukraine and then win two home games to do it....pretty grim stuff.

After a month of round the clock propaganda of where they were going to win it, and when they were going to win it, and why they were going to win it, and how they were going to win it, and what way they were going to win it, and who was going to win it for the Lansdowne wreckers, rammed down our throats on every sports show, every football show, every talk show on radio tv and online, after every one of their games and every half time break of everyone else's games, for the entire duration of the tournament, I am happy to confirm the news that the football world can finally relax, and England Are Out Of The Euros.

They got absolutely everything they wanted, from the moment Wembley was proposed as the host for the final, to the very last kick of the tournament. We may not have had much to cheer about during the tournament, but at least we did when they went out of the competition in the same way we did, because of penalty shoot outs. Maybe they'll have to wait another 55 years to get the chance to win a trophy. Lockdown should be over by then.
