Until the roots hit the base of the glass and it was about 10 inches in height from the seed.
Any pics? Mine took a serious sprouting in July/August and is slowing down now.

Have a wet spot in the corner of my garden where even after the slightest shower it becomes waterlogged and doesnt drain away. I assume this is due to the clay having compacted. I had planned to dig the spot up and replace with gravel and sand and relay the top. Is this the best and easiest solution? Not big enough to warrant putting in drains. Any thoughts and suggestions welcome

Last year I only mowed maybe twice in the whole year, apart from edges to keep it tidy. Strimmed it a couple of times to keep under some sort of control but for the most part let it go wild. Attracted all sorts of birds and insects. But would rather replace the grass if I could
Has anyone ever planted clover? If so what type? Or did you use a mix? Any help appreciated

You should lay down some astro grass, really makes the garden stand out beautifully in a Willy Wonka factory way. You can get some stuffed birds or plastic ones if the budget is tight. Pink pelicans are very popular.

Got a load of clover anyway so going to plant that in March. Always get impatient this time of year!
