They beat Celtic in the first leg of a European tie. Celtic went on to win the second leg but the fact that they lost to a bunch of postmen and plumbers from Gibraltar says enough.

What about when they beat Barcelona whilst Rangers were  in the lower leagues, what does that tell us?

It doesn't say anything. Celtic won the tie and went through.

It's like saying about San Marino going 1-0 up against England - means very little when England went on and scored 7 goals.

Although when your scrapping the barrel to find something to beat Celtic with I can see your point.

*Celtic progressed through another 2 rounds of qualifiers to qualify for the group stages of the CL.

RIP Glasgow Rangers 1872 - 2012

Never forget they are Woolworths FC

This crap.

Rangers getting demoted set Scottish football back years and it still hasn't fully recovered. For the years they were out of the top flight, the league was unchallenged, the standard dropped to an alarming level and any venture into European competition was laughably short, Lincoln Red Imps spring to mind!

No Celtic fan will ever admit it but Celtic should be glad they are back and pushing them to be better. Celtic need Rangers and Rangers need Celtic.
