Just seen how it works now on our own forum. If our champions get knocked out in CL QR1, then it's straight to the ECL If our champions get through CL QR1, then lose in CL QR2, they go to EL, then ECL if the get knocked out of EL. Basically get through 1 round and your guaranteed 8 games in Europe and into at least the play off round of this.

It looks like this will be Irish and Scottish teams' level. The Europa League is being reduced to 32 group teams. It was a great idea but they have agreed to let the big countries enter from next year on.
