I saw today that Brian Barry-Murphy has Rochdale playing some lovely stuff in league 1, and thought this could be a good thread if it doesn’t exist already.

There seems to be a lot of our players moving into coaching, on top of the Mark Kennedy/Lee Carsley generation who are already well established.

You asked if I'd be anyone from history, fact or fiction, dead or alive:
I said "I'd be Tony Cascarino, circa 1995"

delighted to see JBM making a go of it at Rochdale. Also Graham  Coughlan at Bristol Rovers. Good lads  who plough away in the lower leagues.

Eh BBM even! Though imho any decent autocorrect will default to JBM once you type anything like those letters!  Seriously though it would be quite the story if BBM was a managerial success. His dad is almost under appreciated in terms of what a sporting legend he was:-

He played LOI for one season for Cork Celtic (heard it said that he was up there with Brady, Stapleton and O Leary in terms of English scout interest)

Obviously though he concentrated on Gaelic (forva few years) and hurling thereafter and won....
