   The YBIG Independent Supporters Mandate Committee believes the departure of John Delaney from the CEO position of the FAI is the correct decision.

However, we remain convinced that more clarity is required in relation to his new position and that more widespread changes are needed within the structure of the association. In the absence of transparency from the association in relation to the many questions that have arisen in recent years, we believe that root and branch reform is needed if football is to be served responsibly.

The right of supporters to peacefully protest has been an issue we have raised as part of our engagement with the FAI. At our last formal meeting, the below was agreed and noted in our issued minutes.

People have the right to protest as long as they are:

Not causing an obvious nuisance. eg: Blocking the view of a significant number of others with flags, banners etc. 

Not standing on steps

If people wish to protest during the home qualification game versus Georgia then, for example, turning their backs to the game for one minute at an agreed time would be In keeping with those parameters.

We ask all fans to be responsible in any protests and to ensure that these do not impede the team's efforts during the game.
