Watch the 20 mins with KA.

Felt we were booing the handball. Is MON really that bad? Just not really getting stuck in to the argument.

FFS Stevie Wonder can see we are a shambles and both MON and JD need to go.

Thought the same to be honest.

What ever hope we have of MON going we have no hope of JD going unless he lands a big uefa position and even at that he will probably try and juggle both.
time is the stuff that life is made of, don't waste it.

One thing with a 3-5-2 system is that the ball needs to be shifted quickly and in doing so in a way to take full advantage of the wing backs. We did neither. Our build up play is pathetic.

Arter in particular spent most of the game passing backwards. Get the head up ffs.

3-5-2 with our current choice of CBs is an absolutely comical formation. Instead of having 2 players at the back who can't pass the ball, we now have 3. Or when people were championing this formation, did they want to see what was happening against Denmark, which was a flat back 5 on the edge of our own 18 yard box for 90 mins?

It has been an embarrassing watch tactically in the past 2 games with this 3-5-2 formation.

I disagree. Saturday we kept a comfortable 0-0 draw and last night for the first 60 mins it was probably the best we have played in a competitive game in a long time, it was only after we switched formations that we fell to pieces IMO.

Of course it could be done a lot better but I would be tempted to stick with it as I think there is potential for it to work. Against Denmark it did turn into a 5-4-1 and we were way too deep, last night it was more of a 3-5-2 and we defended higher up the pitch and pressed better.

If we could get one or two midfielders more comfortable on the ball (McCarthy, Williams, Brady, Browne, O'Dowda), a centre half who is more comfortable in possession (do we have one? I'm not sure) and a real left wing back instead of McClean (Stevens, Cunningham or Brady) then I think it would look a lot better.

The level of performance in both games just gone was abysmal. Make no bones about it. It seems that the expectations have been battered so much, that people are now settling for this utter garbage. That Danish performance was shocking. Played for a 0-0 at home in a game we really needed to win, and just about got it. Our formation wasn't 3-5-2 either. It wasn't even really a 5-4-1 as has been said, it was mainly just 9 players behind the ball deep in our own half never moving, whatever formation you would call that.

The Wales game the 3-5-2 and standard of play was a tiny bit better, as we actually tried at times to press higher up, we actually tried at times to string 2/3 passes together. Make no mistake though, it wasn't because of our change away from 3-5-2 that we conceded chance after chance late on. We conceded them because we are a rabble of a team, totally broken, who have no tactical plan what's over when a goal down. If we started the game with a 4-4-2 or 4-3-3 shape the exact same would have happened in that last half hour.

We do not have the CBs for 3-5-2. We do not have the midfielders for it either imo. Biggest thing of all though is we don't have the management to implement it as they are clearly just going through the motions in their job. Such a massive change in formation should take lots of time on the training pitch and plenty of matches to get right. There has been zero effort in that regard and that will most likely continue. It's much more a throw enough sh*t a wall scenario now with MON with his formations and starting lineups. Total off the wall rabble's with little thought or work done on them, and pray we somehow come out the other side with a result.
