Why are they deluded? What is wrong with betting on high odds bets? Not everyone is betting big amounts on these. I do a €5 6 game BTTS every Saturday which if it came in normally returns €250-300. Only needs to hit once a season to make a profit (usually comes in 2 or 3 times a season) but I get value for 90 min every Saturday. And that's 90 min of interest for cheaper than the price of a pint!!

Agreed.

For those that do bet corners, what's the logic you use? Are some teams more prone?
Teams that cross the ball rather than work their way into the box will get more corners. Saying that, if I’m bored and I stick on a random match to watch, I’ll stick a small amount on a corners bet. No logic to it for me. Just for interest in a game I’d normally not watch.

I agree If you are doing it for an interest it makes sense.  But as my post says above if one is betting on corners to beat the bookie in the long term, then they are deluded in my opinion.

Lads Ireland v England u19W is on tonight. We are currently 11/1. Was 17/1 around lunchtime.  Way over priced imo.  We beat them just before covid struck at same age group. Euro qualifiers in Limerick tonight

Your quintessential Irish performance. Loads of great chances,2 penalty shouts and concede a late OG out of nothing 🙁

No more standard accumulators for me. Been years since I won one (I think).

First time putting on BTTS accumulator bets tonight and I won one and came within a whisker of winning another two.

I hope Sunderland's next sponsors aren't a bookies.

FOOTBALL clubs should “think seriously” about their responsibilities to fans when accepting shirt sponsorships from gambling firms, the chief executive of NHS England has said. It comes as the NHS in England has seen a steep rise in demand for support for “gambling-related harms.” A record 1,389 patients were referred for help last year.
