The MAI Minifootball Association Ireland launched late last year, and I work with the president of it (I'm not part of the MAI though), things are going along well with some sponsors coming on board for some of the upcoming events. I'll be playing for an over 40's (Cry Cry  Cry turn 40 in the summer) team  at the Champions League finals in Slovenia in September.

So if any coaches are interested or just want to follow the facebook page etc, info below Thumbs Up

We are glad to announce that over the coming two weeks we are looking to choose the management team for the Irish 6s Minifootball team.  Is this something that you could be interested in?  We will need a manager, coach, physio, administrator and fund raiser, which until sponsorship comes on board, will be voluntary positions, although flights and accommodation to events will be paid, and the participation is rewarding in itself.  We already have a lot of interest, BUT, wanted to ensure that everybody knew first before we decide, so we now have a 2 week process to take in applications, followed by a 1 to  3 week selection process.

We anticipate that this year will have a schedule including 2 home friendlies, and 2 away friendlies, along with the Mini Euros at the end of summer.  We are also looking at the World Arena Soccer event in Mexico in October as a possibility should we be able to raise the funds.  More details on these events, and more, are on the association Facebook page at @minifootballireland.  [PLEASE ensure that you are on the MAI Facebook page and not another!!!]

Scouting for players will take place at the F5WC, FIFCO and Red Bull Neymar Jrs Five along with requests taken from leagues, venues, and players themselves to be scouted.

Should you be interested please email us at nationalsquad@maireland.com with a one page resume of your experience and qualifications, a clear head shot of yourself in jpg format, and any links to social media, Youtube or websites that could provide us with more data about yourself.  Please also include a short written introduction to yourself, and why you think you would fit the position you seek, and what position that is!

We look forward to hearing from you, and should you not apply, please note that the announcement for the search for players will be released shortly.
