An Irish student is fighting for his life after a brutal attack in America.

Evan White, 21, was viciously assaulted in US beauty spot San Diego on Friday.
It's believed the Cork man was out with pals celebrating his 21st birthday when he was beaten up down a laneway.
He was rushed to Scripps La Jolla Hospiptal where he remains in a critical condition.
His friends at home said he was "beaten to a pulp".
