George Hamilton was on with Ray D'Arcy yesterday and says he didn't plan the famous line. He says it came about because he knew the penalty shoot out was being shown live on the Six One News on RTE1 as well as RTE2, and therefore the whole country was watching.....the phrase just came into his head.

And Charlie Hawkeye as EU President left the conference hall to watch it, much to the disgust of Thatcher. Helmut Kohl was amused apparently - "crazy pixie-heads". Mitterand shrugged. |
