Is there a worse team than us in Euro 2020? North Macedonia maybe? Austria are terrible but I think we'd struggle badly against them regardless of Kenny or Mick in charge.
This really is a transitional phase for us, as I watch Scotland doing some tikitaka around England!

I thought Wales were very good too. It wasn't long ago that England beat us with little fuss. We're pretty terrible at the moment but I haven't been this optimistic about the next couple of years since 2010.

Watching the Euros I keep thinking every team out there would whack us. Scotland are way above our level, Wales would beat us handily if they turned it on. I was looking at N Macedonia moving the ball around thinking we just don't play with that continuous focus and fluidity. Time heals all wounds.

I think there are teams with overall worse players than us (or at least squads which look to be similar in terms of quality). On paper Finland and North Macedonia have squads similar or possibly slightly weaker than ours. There are quite a few teams with slightly (but not massively) stronger squads than ours, where they have 1 or 2 more players of high quality. I'd say Scotland, Austria, the Czechs and maybe Hungary fall into this bracket. What I have been impressed with is the standard of coaching at all the "lesser" teams in the tournament. Aside from Turkey and maybe Russia most of the middle to low ranking teams have put in cohesive performances in at least one of their games. None of these teams have looked wide open, or devoid of ideas. The players have kept to formations and positions very well in at least one game. Maybe another exception is Poland, but they were caught out in their game with the red card. I think this is an aspect of the game where we would have been far, far behind the other teams.

I heard the other day that Wales have won as man matches in tournament football (4 appearances) as Scotland have who’ve been at 11 tournaments
Anyone know how many that is Ireland have 4 wins right? Or 5? Does Romania count as a win or a draw?

They've cleaned up their own capital city after a night out, not a big deal
