Given that numerous members on the forum train play with various sports clubs, go to the gym, run, suffer from various symptoms such as anxiety, depression, addiction etc I think if would be an excellent idea to have a sub section for Health & Fitness. Clean eating, gym programmes, diet's, ways to lose weight, stress relievers, ways to beat addictions or mental illness through staying active etc. It would be great to have all of these under the one roof and would actually give posters an outlet to really get stuff off their chest. I mean lets face it, you could have a topic on anxiety sandwiched in between an IrishMUFC thread about Polish crumpet and Padraig Nally, not exactly ideal is it? It's no surprise that staying active can help you in more than one way, whether it's physical fitness or over coming mental health issues or maybe if you want to lose weight.

I usually find running and playing football are good forms of exercise and help clear the head.
That said with recent injuries preventing me from doing the above walking is the next best thing a very underatted activity I'd say.

This a football forum though. That's what the whatever section is for. You could start a fitness or depression thread and ask the Mods to make it a Sticky.

You may as well give TJ his own subsection while you're at it.
Personally I don't think there's any need but maybe others agree and would like to have it. |

Two week holiday in the sun every year. The odd glass of red wine and a fat spliff every so often in good company should keep the mental health sorted anyway.

The RTG (Sunderland forum) has 7 or 8 sub sections. You have the main football section, the whatever section, parsnip section is basically a less moderated section where only members can view the content in it, they've a cricket sub section, health and fitness sub section etc. Works rather well imo.

The forum is not remotely busy enough for all these sub sections. We are not boards.ie.

Under subsection 12A of the YBIG Criminal Justice Act 2009 you have breached a confidentiality clause relating to publications of subsections in particular the NPF. You are hereby a criminal for publically criticising YBIG in a subsection. You may appeal this breach by setting up a subsection of this subsection whereby a subsection committee will review your plea of 'not guilty'. Can you please elect a subsection committee so that this process may be implemented? |

While a good idea as Seany says a sticky in the whatever section is what should be there, have stated many times that the Depression/anxiety thread should be a sticky over the Film review thread
