Robbie Keane and Duff and plenty of others get their chance every time even though they are sh**e.  I reckon connolly and Doyle against wales....bring back a bit of bite into the attack with the angry ant leading the way

I think he should get his chance purely on the basis that if your performing for your club you should get a chance, but you all know full well that he will do piss all.

doesnt matter...if its drummed into peoples heads that if you perform well at club level you will get a chance and also that if you arent playing well you get dropped! Thats the way it should be so that there is healthy competition for players and hasbeens dont walk onto teamsheets!

Keano was in the paper yesterday slamming Stan for not calling Connolly or Miller up for the last international squads.  Fair enough on Connolly, hes banging them home at the moment, but Miller is a waste of space and can stay where he is.  Keane only included him in his rant on Stan because hes from Cork and doesnt want him to feel left out!

keane and doyle to start, connolly having scored a couple of goals in the championship means f all, it's a sh*t league with 99% of players are average at best.

Doyle played in it last year, do you consider him an average player. As did Andy Johnson.  Might be average teams but some quality players

another good performance and a goal from Connolly at the weekend! Reckon Odea should get a call up aswell, dont know whay Stan will do though as nobody knows whats goin on in his noggin. He'll probably pick obrien in the squad ahead of him even though he doesnt even warm the bench at pompey anymore

if keane hadnt been playing so well the last few weeks for his club I would have had connolly starting with doyle but now its a tough call!
