Vital win for the women's team in Portugal today.  After losing the opening qualifier at home to Finland it was important to win today and the women came from a goal down to beat Portugal 2-1.  Louise Quinn and Aine O'Gorman with the goals.

Spain at home in Tallaght next month.

Is this not been shown anywhere on the telly?

Womens soccer is great to watch, and when Ireland are playin you'd think that at least one of the Irish channels would have it.
Having watched the womens world cup,tis noticeable that there is little or no diving, playacting or going down like a sack of spuds with the least little touch-unlike some of the so-called men.
C'mon the girls in green.
His last fond wish had been fulfilled to lie in his native land, and the wild waves roll in peace again on the lonely Banna Strand.

I saw Setanta tweeting earlier on that they were showing the game against Spain next month.

Admittedly I've only watched a handful of women's games but every time I do I'm struck by how poor the keepers are. Any long range shot aimed in the general direction of the goals is liable to be let in.
Anyway best of luck to the girls in Green. There trojan work being done here in the last few years with the international side and the founding of the national league.
