Ha that hooker song is quite funny. But you cant feel anything from that song. Its just random lyrics that don't reflect anything only Ed Sheerans lack of knowledge of hookers and drugs. Don't like his singing style either. No variety there whatsoever. Hope ye enjoyed the concert anyway. That's enough of ed for a lifetime for me

Isn't there a line "crumbling like pastries " or something 😂😂😂😂😂not a simile you would expect in a song about a hooker, unless talking about their vagina.

I was there on Saturday. Got free tix but wouldn't know many of his songs. I'll give him this much, he has a committed fanbase for a little fella who is clearly offensively ginger. The hoop at the gig was tremendous. Tons of short skirts, heels and jabs. Wonderful viewing.

He seems like a nice young chap who can't believe his luck. And rightfully so. I genuinely can't believe his luck either. He has to be the most overrated singer out there. His music is in no way interesting or original. It really is that bland, middle of the road, pop guitar sh1te that seems to be doing the rounds the last few years. Like The Script, I just don't see how you could be excited about going to see them.

I noticed some of Ed's riff's are ripped off older songs. One was from Lucy Pearl about 15 years ago and another was from Justin fookin Timberlake. His rapping was a cringefest too, I wanted to hide behind my seat it was so embarrassing.

He's prepared to stand up in front of 84,000 people on a stage by himself with no backing singers or musicians so fair play, that requires nerve and a certain amount of talent. What's being served up is so boring though. Saccharine lyrics and dull music.

Some music does not belong in stadiums. In fact most music does not belong in football stadiums. Very few bands have ever managed to successfully pull it off.

Buskers and acoustic artists etc certainly don't belong there. Nothing against the lad but in my opinion its not the correct venue for that sort of music. Its purely a commercial business decision.

I don't get the "belong there" thing.  160k people wanted to see him this weekend. He only played stadiums because that's the most efficient way for him to let all those people see him play. He'd be 2 weeks in the Three getting that many fans in.

He has the look of an abandoned orphan who spent most of his childhood being molested.

He's the complete opposite of that boy band look a la Jack Grealish.

You have answered your own question there. It is as a result of the logistics and economics of it rather than that music being suited to 80,000 capacity stadiums.

Take U2 as an example. They played stadiums and tried for years to make it work properly and in 1992 nearly bankrupted themselves in the process in order to make performing in a stadium work. Now whether people like U2 or not they changed the face of stadium performances with Zoo TV. Led Zeppelin did the same in the 70s. They progressed the form.

Ed sheeran is an acoustic artists. And other than having a few screens behind him I do not think he has tried to progress the idea of playing live in stadiums.

Very very few bands can actually do it properly and it requires serious thought and ingenuity not just stick up a stage and a few screens and play your tunes.
