You'd hope between the FAI, his dad and his agent, he'd have had his Irish passport sorted a long time ago.

If Transfermarkt is correct then his first competitive cap at underage for England was two years ago when he was 19. Made his debut for Man City a year and a half before that and was highly rated at Derby before moving in 2019.

So you'd have to assume that the FAI have chatted with him and his family to guage interest and get his citizenship sorted.

Delap might have been considered a prospect before but has he done much to make us think he's one to be chasing, ahead of some of the other striking options we currently have, or younger lads coming through?

Delap has been very good for Hull this year, he's finally looking like fulfilling his potential.
We're decent enough..

yeah fair enough, seems like he's got 7 goals in 26 appearances but hasn't played since 1st Jan, knee injury likely to keep him out til maybe the final few weeks of the season.

Yeah things were starting to click for him this year at Hull. They often played him out wide too so wasn't always leading the line for them.

Similar Connolly was also starting to find his feet this season. Because of injuries he's only played 1192mins in his 26 appearances but has gotten himself 8 goals.

Looks like we are stuck with picking Irish born players until Cannon, Fraser & hopefully Delap commit. Their dedication to their club careers can only be good for us in the long term.

Does anyone know if Tom Olyott is still involved with us?

He hasn't been capped for our U19s since September. He's scored 13 goals for Fulham U18s this season.

He's a 2006 so still underage for next season. Likely wasn't called up for November's games given some of the attacking options available to us at that age grade.

I guess so. Those numbers will be difficult to ignore for the next squad.

Would have expected a training camp this window given we were knocked out of qualification. Might still happen but nothing gets announced. Sometimes you don't find out till a player posts it on social media.

He played for the U18s against Belgium back in November but again it was non competitive games.

Franco Umeh on the bench for Crystal Palace again today, vs Forest.

Newcastle pick up 4 fresh injuries & a red card to go with the 7 players already missing - we might see Alex Murphy get some minutes in the coming games.

If Murphy was going to get some minutes he’d have got them by now. Such a pity as he came from Galway absolutely flying. Another young player pissing about in a PL academy with no plan or intention to develop him.

Ike Orazi named in the senior match-day squad for Stade Reims who sit at seventh in the French top division.  Hug

Only signed from Shamrock Rovers in September.  Still only 16, he's a pacy winger with strong dribbling skills who got two goals in four games as our U-17s got to the Euro quarter-finals last Summer.

Ike Orazi on the bench for Reims against Strasbourg.
