Yes I would have seen every game.

Cant decide between 82 and 86 as ‘my’ best WC.

I think if France got past Germany in the 82 Semi final it might swing 82 for me. So disappointed when France lost. Brazil were also great to watch in 82. Really 86 was about Maradona.
I could agree with you but then we'd both be wrong.

One of the best games of all time though, the 3-3.

Was Schumacher pole axing Battison the difference in the outcome ?

Well it surely should have been a penalty and Schumacher sent off

I think it happened about half way through the second half at 1-1

But France led 3-1 in the extra-time

So that's where they really blew it

England must have been fuming they won the group they were in with France

France ended up with Austria and Norn Iron, whereas England's reward was Spain and West Germany

Similarly, Brazil's reward for winning their group in spectacular style was Argentina and Italy

If they had finished second they would have got Poland and Belgium

Alejandro Sabella RIP

Argentina manager at the 2014 World Cup and famously a former Sheffield United player, the legend has it that the Blades turned down Diego to sign him but I'm pretty sure that's bullsh*t

He had been in hospital since late November according to BBC but no word as to the cause

Another sad loss for Argentina
