Can you explain what the FAI are meant to do?

The harsh reality is there is not enough support for a LOI club in Monaghan, and that is the reaon why they folded, lack of financial support.

Are the FAI supposed to financially subsidise uneconomic clubs?

If so what way should it be done, as in how do you determine how much each club receives etc

Have Monaghan or any other LOI club applied for funding from the FAI (not grants in relation to infrastructure) and if so did they receive any and on what terms?

Personally I find it hard to see why the FAI should sustain an uneconomic league unless there is an obvious benefit to Irish football.

For example I would be completly against the FAI susidising wages, but would be supportive of the FAI paying the wages of coaching staf attached to a LOI for coaching provided to local junior and schools clubs etc. So a LOI player with the proper coaching badge, could do say 15 hours a week coaching in the community for which the FAI would pay him. which would subsidise his income but would deliver a benefit to the football family. It would also make it more feasible for him and his club come to an arrangement to have him playing as a full time pro.

For the interest for fairness payments from the FAI should be based on the level of badges obtained by players, and the number of hours paid be based on the catchment area of the clubs.

go suck on your hero JD's cock you cuckhold twink f**k. You always make negative posts on this section and you are afraid of going to any LOI games so you opinion isnon valid on here.

Qman you are the bigest dickhead here, all ive done is ask questions, how can that be negative?

IF the only peoples opinions that are valid are current hardcore LOI supporters the league is doomed because it badly needs new supporters, but you are so far up your own arse that you cant see that.

Why the mods allow you come on here and post personal abuse i dont know, but it is your type that drives people away from LOI.
I know nothing :-)

There was talk yesterday that in the absence of Monaghan Utd that Sham was going to support either Pats or Bohs.

Tom was offering discounted season tickets and Trapped was offering discounted beers at Bohs.

So yeah I would totally be in favour of Monaghan Utd back in the league.  Wink

Forming our first Senior Mens team since that devastating day back in June 2012, to compete in the CML. Still a long way off any potential LOI return but small steps and a lot of hard work and you just never know.....

The club has been working tirelessly at underage level in local leagues with standalone teams and at underage LOI level in partnership with local clubs in Monaghan and Cavan. It’s this hard work that nows sees us in a position to form the senior mens team.

All the best with it Sham.

It was a sad day for football in 2012 and for many infuriating to take considering the shenanigans going on in Poland at the time.

Hopefully see Monaghan back sooner rather than later.

Crazy to think, if they didnt go to the wall in 2012 Dundalk prob would have finished last and Stephen Kenny and the success since never would have happened
2 in a row and we won it in Tallaght

Monaghan/ Cavan U13 are playing UCD/Mount Merrion YC at Cootehill Harps AFC.

There is either a deceased or sleeping horse stretched on the grass beside the pitch at Belgium Park.
