Missed it tonight but have the original 1987 video, absolutely tremendous show that was, apart from fookin Haughey hijacking it.....but some collection of talent that night, imagine the fookin booze up they had after that show! Great it's coming out on DVD.

Watched it alright and was great. u2 looked like they just finished primary school, christy moore was slim and had hair and shane mcgowans suit was clean.

Great show though and shows the gulf of class between Kenny and Gaybo

Scorn not his Simplicity I would say Bob. Think he sang it at the very start of the show. It's about a down symdrome kid...

Bloody great footage that of Scorn Not........and nobody will ever come close to Luke's version of it.  Stunning and haunting and moving.

As far as I can remember that's the only one they feature of him singing.  There is a DVD from a few years back that is dedicated to Luke's Live performances with the Dubliners, it is also top notch. I'm sure it's still in the shops, certainly on the Net.

"Scorn not his simplicity" is sadly the only Luke track on the Dubliners special, what with Luke having passed away some months before the show aired.

Part of the "McCann Man" show, it was a lovely relaxed version filmed up in the embankment.

FW is correct though, this track does feature on "Luke Kelly - The Performer" which came out Christmas before last. It's a fantastic DVD, has about 20 songs and loads of Archive footage & interviews with the rest of the Dubliners, with special appearances from Damien Dempsey amongst others, as well as ould Scottish hippy Donovan doing a reading of "For what died the sons of Rósín" . It's about 2 and a half hours long and about €15.

You should find it in most dvd gaffs still.

"Luke Kelly - The Performer" is a class DVD... and thankfully it plays with no problem in the states.
