Two Universities play in Romania tomorrow.
Two year old CS Universitatea Craiova pushing for Europe host relegation threatened FC Universitatea Cluj. Hope they both win.

Know a Dinamo ultra who's involved in their displays etc, always complaining that Steau have that league pretty much paid off (seeing some of the decisions they get in the derby can sort of see why) so I'd be shocked if they don't win the league, Dinamo having another shocking season

Anyone reckon the Turkish Super Liga could be interesting this year?
Seems to be a few more 'big name' players heading there this summer than recent years, Fener being the main spenders, I assume its their links to the Saudi prince (same one who's worth trillions and bought Sheff Utd and wont/cant spend the cash there ) but Trabzonspur and Besikitas have bought a few decent players so far, so could strengthen the top sides, Gala not been as active but seen them linked recently with a few players - of course the small sides will probably be sh*te and not pay their players as usual so only really be the top 3-5 worth paying attention to Wonder if any tv station will pick it up as lots of the stars have left the Ere Divisie so sort of looking for another decent league to follow after Serie A this year (will still watch the Dutch/Belgian leagues when get the chance)

They reduced the restrictions on foreign players. Previously you had to have 5 Turks on the pitch at all times and you could only have 3 foreign players on the bench. Now you can have 11 foreign players in a match day squad and they can all be on the pitch together. Squads for the season can be made up of 14 players domestic players and 14 players from elsewhere.

I'm shouting for Benfica purely based on the following pathetic reasons: 1. Porto was the springboard for that special cretin's career. 2. Loved playing as Benfica in PES 2008 3. Benfica have lovely football jerseys especially their black adidas away ones

Yeah usually would side with Benfica for no other reason other than remember Arsenal drawing 1-1 think it was out there in the early 90's after the ban was lifted then losing the return leg and the British media being shocked that Arsenal lost so for no other reason always liked them in Portugal

Some cracking saves from Iker. The save from Indi was exceptional. Renato Sanches looks pretty good for an 18 year old. Huge guy for that age as well. Similar size to Lukaku at 18.
Always think Hector Herrera is the type of player that would fit in with the style Pochettino and Klopp are aiming for. Would be worth a bid if Porto finish 3rd this season. Brahimi worth chasing as well. Looks like a proper 3-way title race now. I'd like to see Sporting win it. It has been a while. |

Galatasaray vs Trobzonspor
Trobzonspor ended up with 7 men left on the field, 4 men sent off. Ironically 1 fella got sent off for taking the cards from the ref

Monday afternoon and the Trobzonspor fans are still protesting about what happened last night.
They've even brought red cards of their own |

Few stories appear to have slipped under the radar today,
1, Serious sh*t going down in Greek football after the Greek FA suspend all domestic football after their head referee's house is arson attacked - similar sh*t been happening in Cypriot football too. Will Fifa/Uefa step in soon and suspend them from Europe? 2, But of more importance is this story benfica-vasteras-victor-nilsson-lindelof That could have serious repercussions for football as we know it if FIFA don't make Benfica pay up and also honour the sell on fee. Smaller clubs will be lining up to go bankrupt and funniest thing of all is Benfica's whole business model is based on buy cheap, sell on for profit including all these add on's |
