Plus Wan.

The plastic season tickets were grand.  Hate using the phone.  Mine only seems to work half the time as well.

I've had to print the code every single time for me da "just in case", the man who charges his phone about once a week and doesn't touch it unless someone rings LOL

But yeah, the old cards were the handiest left in the wallet.

All it will take now for a disaster is a network outage for one of the games and nobody will be able to get into the place.

That shouldn't impact people as you would download the pass to your phone once, like you would set up a bank card on your phone, and then it would update for each game.

NFC is totally different to scanning a QR code or bar code - A far quicker experience.

Was at the rugby yesterday, it's NFC now to get in, same as tapping your phone to pay for something. Pretty handy, but you'd miss having a momento from a proper ticket

I miss having an actual card. Same with the Airlines, all gone digital.

Has it not been via phone for a couple of years???
Yes. You had to scan your QR code, but now it's using the same technologies as used in contactless payments apparently. Bought a cheap phone after loosing mine in Amsterdam and it doesn't support NFC payments looks like an upgrade may be on the cards.

They still had the scanners too. NFC very handy though.

I certainly hope the NFC ticket isnt the case for the football. Does that mean 1 phone 1 ticket?

The current barcode system works well and tickets can easily be sent to friends etc by screenshots on whatsapp or when selling on to strangers on here etc.

If this system is to be replaced were the fans groups consulted?

You'll never beat the Irish
