It goes to show the refrain about 'clear-outs' and 'starting from scratch', which is a staple of football fan debate is misplaced, and doesn't work. "My house is dirty, buy me a clean one". Just because you have money to spend doesn't mean it needs to be.

Have heard him mentioned as being a better all round RB than Alexander Arnold but have never heard anyone mention him in the best ever PL right back debate.

Pochs job under threat already?

They'll improve eventually.

They've actually created more chances than the opposition in most games, but just can't convert enough of them. Jackson has had a rough start. I think's better suited to playing off a ST. They really should have bought a natural CF instead of Lavia.

Nkunku is a big miss for them. They need him to hit the ground running when he returns.

Jackson

Nkunku----------Sterling

Chilwell------E.Fernández----Caicedo-----R.James

Colwill-----T.Silva-----Disasi

Sánchez

If they could put out that XI regularly, they'd win a lot more games.

That's not a million miles from yesterday really is it? Nkunku and James injured, and he dropped Chilwell for Mudryk to be more attacking. 3 games in a row without scoring against average teams, 2 injuries shouldn't turn a team to that.

They have 8 injuries at the moment tbf. Fofana, Badiashile, Chalobah, James, Lavia, Chukwuemeka, Madueke and Nkunku.

Playing Enzo as an attacking midfielder isn't doing him any favours. He suits a deep playmaker role. Caicedo and him should form a formidable duo when they get a run of games next to each other. Nkunku was set to be their talisman the season, so let's see how he adapts to The PL when he returns from injury. James is a big miss at wing back also. But they do lack a natural CF.

Heard the injuries they have being mentioned earlier but when you look at the list of who’s out it’s still a list of very inexperienced players, especially for a club who wants to be making top 4 at a minimum.

They make Man Utd look settled. In a right mess it seems.

Even at full strength, that is such an underwhelming first XI. Not far off what a lineup you'd associate with a team like Aston Villa

Chelsea are being investigated by the Premier League over two Roman Abramovich transfers, it has been claimed.

According to the Times, a Premier League investigation into secret transfer-related payments made by Chelsea during Abramovich’s tenure as owner will include scrutiny of the financial transactions around the signings of Willian and Samuel Eto’o.

The publication has claimed the transfers of the pair from Russian club Anzhi Makhachkala in August 2013 are part of an investigation after they were flagged up by Chelsea’s current owners.

The Times has claimed that financial records indicate that payments may have been made to “Russian entities” that were separate from the transfer fee.

Anzhi signed Willian for £30million from Shakhtar Donetsk in January 2013 only to sell him to Chelsea for the same amount eight months later
