Just want to pick yer brains, lads and ladies-

When you see the phrase :

60'S BRITISH ROCK

Which bands come to mind, or songs for that matter?

I've pretty much taken care of the usual suspects :
The Beatles - Helter Skelter
The Stones - Satisfaction
The Troggs - Wild Thing
The Kinks - You really Got me
The Animals - We gotta get out of this place

Etc.. so, after trudging through acres of CDs for the last week, I've gone snow blind, and could do with an outside opinion.Anyone think of any? Gotta be 60's, gotta be British (or any of the few Irish acts of the time on a British record label, such as Them or Taste, but no Yanks) but most of all, it's gotta be rock. Any suggestions appreciated.

If your going to pick The Who: Then My Generation-would have to spring to mind to define 60's Britsh Rock.
Romario 2016: And the ticket mafia gets caught! Well, four years ago I had already told the government.

It's And And! And. Tut. You have to include the exclamation mark after the second And. Jimmy Rabbitte would kick the bollix out of ya for that.

Anyway BH, Ta very much.  Anything's open for inclusion tho. Not just necessarily what you'd consider the definitive track.

Some others that have come up :

Them - Gloria
The Small faces - Itchicoo park
The Hollies - I'm Alive
The Who - Substitute
The Stones - Brown Sugar
The Zombies - She's not there

(lots of "The" 's in the 60's, wasn't there? )

Is there an end point to all this Bondvillian? Or is it a project for the self?

A little from Column A agus a little from Column B. Selfishly, It's very much to help myself (Y'all seem like an interesting bunch of people and I wanted to pick your brains..) but there may be an end result that I can disclose should all go well.

There. Clear as muck. Smile
