INVITATION
TO PARCIPATE in Dragon Boat Races
Festival
Would
you like to compete with the fans of Ireland, Croatia, and Italy or
other national teams participating in UEFA EURO 2012™?
On
9, 13, and 17 June 2012 the Malta Regatta Course in Poznań will be
hosting
the Dragon Boat Races (10-person) for the fans of the UEFA EURO 2012™
European Football Championships.
Venue
and time: Malta Regatta Course, 9, 13, and 17 June; 1.00 p.m. –
5.00 p.m.
Competition
rules: 

The
participants will be competing in 10-person boats,
which besides the rowers, also feature a helmsman (provided by the
organiser) and a drummer (provided by the team or the organiser) who
sets the pace of the rowing by striking the drum placed at the head
of the boat.
Prizes:

Each
participant receives an occasional
t-shirt. Winners are awarded.
Events:

The
regatta will comprise timed
200-m races in series of 4 teams each. Depending on the number of
contestants, there will be semi-finals and finals, or only a single
final. The detailed schedule for the regatta will be provided in a
further release – it will be subject to the number of teams
submitted. An additional contest taking place on the grandstands will
recognise the best cheering school. There are no particular
restrictions to cheering style.

The
number of places is limited! Applications
are processed in the order they are received! We
accept submissions until 4 June 2012 for the 9 June race, until 8
June for the 13 June race and until 12 June for the 17 June race. 

The
organisation of the regatta:
The
regatta organiser provides security for boats with equipment and
helmsmen;
The
organiser provides emergency services for the regatta.
The
organiser provides life jackets which are obligatory for the
contestants.
Additional
attractions:
All
contestants
will also be given the opportunity to row in training canoes, while
being watched by a qualified team of trainers and instructors of
canoeing, and to board a specially prepared tourist canoe.
The
event is for all sports enthusiasts. It
is a wonderful way of spending your free time outdoors right before
the sporting emotions awaiting for you at the stadium.
