Was at at ernst and young presentation yesterday and they were syaing 5 of the 10 biggest drugs in the world are patented in Ireland and in the next 18 months the patents on a few are due to expire which will knock a few points off GDP yet very few people seem to know this and it isnt in the news, its going to be a huge problem for us and we dont seem to be prepared for it.

Thats a good one about Irish Beef in Mc Donalds burger when the burgers used in Mc Donalds in Ireland are imported from the UK , they are not 100% Irish Beef , there is an Irish Processing Meat Company in talks with Mc Donalds trying to secure this business. Just thought that might be of interest to you.

On their website , they claim all their beef is 100% Irish, so somebody is wrong. Far as I know, Rangeland Meats supply them (along with a huge amount of takeaways in the country). Or maybe Monaghan is part of the UK these daysWink

Wish Monaghan was part of the UK , defo Mc Donalds imports all the bugers used in Ireland from the UK , It was in the farmers journal a couple weeks ago in relation to an Irish company trying to secure the business.

Hopefully the R & D departments in the likes Merck GSK Pfizer are close to next break through so they can keep the country and their workforce ticking over. Im in the medical devices side of the Pharmaceutical business, working in a factory in Clonmel. Tis sh*te work but its paying for Poland.
