Aye. Some knock from McCarthy then the 2 wickets in 2 balls made it respectable. Could have been much worse.

Very enjoyable day out, wasn't expecting to see a game at all, so to get a game, and even come close to winning it was great.

After day 1. Afghanistan 155. Ireland 100-4. 5 wickets for Mark Adair. Curtis Campher out for 49 😪, after he got 2 wickets earlier. Tector and Stirling batting, hopefully they can put on a decent partnership tomorrow 🙏

Ireland 186 -6 at lunch. Stirling gone for 50 and the Afghani bowlers are starting to extract some spin.

At present 8 down with a lead of 98 , Ireland should be able to knock that off if we can get the last two out quickly

Getting into the territory now where the total to chase could be tricky if losing an early wicket or two.

Great win for Ireland v Afghanistan yesterday in the first T20. Half century for Harry Tector, 4 wickets for Ben White and 3 for Barry McCarthy. It was a feisty game and a couple of the Irish players may be picking up fines for arguing with the Afghani umpires. The teams go again on St Patrick's Day 🏏☘☘
