The winmau boards in the bdo are much harder to hit as dudley pointed out. Tue wireing is thicker. The unicorn boards in the pdc have magnetic underlay which attracts the metallic end of the dart towards the doubles and trebles. Barry Hearn has a switch which alternates whether the dart is drawn towards the double or treble depending on the state of the match.
