They are okay but you need to be in a goon state of mind. Loved his war ones especially the first when he and his dad were looking out the front room window watching his ma dig an air raid shelter. "She's a wonderful woman", said dad. His kids books are also good but I have yet to read one. And as you know Spike is Irish and so has the gift of the gab.
There are friendlier places to drink.
